Memphis short sales homes don’t have the wider availability of other more inflated areas like California or Florida, but they do exist. Memphis real estate never fell as sharply as those areas. This leads to a slightly less availability of super bargains in the area, but a Memphis short sale can still be a great deal. Keep in mind that for all short sales, you’ll need good pre-approval as well and cash on hand is the best. You also will need to be prepared for deals falling through if bank approval doesn’t come through.
